THE REMODELING

First we’ll spend time getting to know you and discussing what you wish to accomplish with your remodel. We ask many questions and may challenge your assumptions, so we can really get a good understanding of not only what your goals are but also why they are. As critical as it is for us to know what you are looking for and expect, it is also essential that you understand who we are and how we operate. We want you to have clear expectations throughout the process from beginning to end. Lastly we will explain our Customer Agreement (Contract); review each item and explain the payment plan. Next, using a combination of photographs, computer layout, measurements and lots of note taking, we lay out the area as it currently exists. Back in our office we take the “shell” and begin the design process. This includes generating a computer rendering of your new space based on our conversation at the initial meeting. This includes a Preliminary Scope of Work, which will outline the job from beginning to end. We ask that you review this thoroughly to ensure we have understood what you expect and we are all on the same page when your remodel begins. Specifying and agreeing on all of the details of your project is one of the most critical parts of our process. Working together as a team, we will take your ideas and shape them into a project you will be thrilled with. This step may take from one to two meetings. When you and MasterTouch have a clear understanding what your project is all about and what the investment will be, we move on to signing agreements and setting your project up in our schedule. We will then come back to your home and take a final measure to ensure accuracy. At this point we will give you a window of time which we anticipate starting your project as well as an approximate completion date. In addition we begin finalizing plans for Permit, if necessary, placing product orders for any materials with a lead time or any custom products. This step takes one meeting. Now we begin your project! A meeting with all the key players is scheduled in your home. We review the project one more time and address any question or concerns you may have. We discuss “life during remodeling” and any additional or special considerations we need to be aware of while working in your home. We will respect your home, keep it clean and safe and leave you with a wonderful finished project. And best of all, we will do it in a way that minimizes disruption & inconvenience. Warranty and follow up. The work is now over and you are enjoying your new space. Your project is covered under our 2 year Warranty. If a cabinet door warps or a faucet leaks, give us a call. Warranty work is not one of those things we get around to when we have time. We are committed to providing you with the same high level of attention before, during and after your project.
